Mark Whale was listed as 22 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Brinkworth, Wiltshire. Father: James Mother: Sarah Matthews. Sisters: Sophia, Mary, Leah Brothers: Charles, James, William. Mark was 5'9¼" tall, brown hair, grey eyes, small scar on forehead. 1830 Muster: Public Works 1832-35 Musters: Assigned to Mr. D. McGowan. 18/7/1839: CP 2/6/1843: Free Pardon. 1843 Census: In Launceston.

Mark Whale, for stealing wearing apparel and other articles from the house of Henry Sherwood, at Brinkworth Salisbury Journal, 8 Mar 1819 The following prisoners, 17 in number, were fully convicted of the crimes for which they stood indicted, and received sentence of Death :- …Mark Whale, aged 19, for breaking into and robbing the house of Henry Sherwood at Brinkworth.. … All the above prisoners have been reprieved, ..
