Absconded. Wheelahan Lawrence, Blenheim, 34-2373, 22, King's County, cutler, 5 feet 3 inches, sallow and pockpitted comp., dark brown hair, brown, eyes, scar top head, from T. Grono, Pitt Town, since 6th April. Charged with robbery and attempt to murder. NSW Govt Gazette, 15 Apr 1835.




The Printed Indentures state that Laurence Wheelahan was 22 years old and could read and write. Religion Protestant, was married but had no children. A native of King's County. He was convicted of stealing ribbons and tried at Galway Town, convicted on 17 April 1834 and sentenced to 7 years. Had no prior convictions. Physical attributes are height 5 feet 3 inches; complexion sallow and pock pitted; hair dark brown and eyes brown. Prisoner number 34-2373 and transport number 142.
