At the Assizes for this county commenced at Dorchester ... but no capital conviction took place. Edmund White aged 16 sentenced 14 years transportation for robbing Mr Stanley, veterinary surgeon at Bere Regis of notes of the value ?. Sherborne Mercury, 20 March 1809.
