Family connections for Elizabeth (White) are: WHITE According to Smees records;- Elizabeth (Marks/White) was born in 1773 or 5 10 1780. She married firstly William (White) in Devon & produced 3children. She was tried for stealing a watch at Nottingham town Quarter Seesions, sentenced to 7years arrived in NSW as a convict with her children on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HMS GLATTON.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] William (White) did not travel to Australia with his wife. She is described in several references as a settler & died on 15 7 1827 age61 at Parramatta & was buried, as (Knight), at St Johns CofE Parramatta w/her son Isaac or husband. Isaac (Knight) arrived in NSW as a marine on 22 1 1788 after a voyage of 12months on First Fleet ship ALEXANDER. Elizabeth (Marks/White) & Isaac (Knight) produced 2children: 1.Daniel Marks (Knight) was born on 28 8 1804 & baptised on 18 1 1807 age2 w/John Marks at St Johns CofE Parramatta. 2.John Marks (Knight) was born on 2 12 1806 & baptised on 18 1 1807 w/Daniel Marks at St Johns CofE Parramatta. .. ..[Noted a John (Knight) is recorded as born in 1811-no parents given] .. .. Henry (Coleman) was born about 1770. He was tried for stealing a horse at Leicester Assizes on 22 3 1797, sentenced to death commuted to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 5 1798 after a voyage of 8months on BARWELL. He was Free by Servitude by 1816. He was granted 13acres, presumably at Richmond. He died on 22 3 1841 age71. Stephen Goodchild has written D.O.B. as 1773. I have D.O.B. as 5.10.1780. He also has death date as 5.3.1821. I have as 3.2.1821. He also stated birth of son William as 1818. Married Henry Coleman 30/05/1803 at Old St John's Chapel, Parramatta. Elizabeth had one child William Coleman born 16/02/1818 at Richmond, NSW. William died 09/02/1881 and is buried at St John's Cemetery, Parramatta.
