Convict Indentures state that Hannah White was 27 years old; could read only; religion Roman Catholic: Single; Native of County Cork. Her trade was laundress and house maid. She was tried for stealing a handkerchief at Cork City on 17 August 1838. Found guilty and convicted for 7 years. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 0 1/2 inches; complexion ruddy and slightly pock pitted; hair brown and grey eyes. Prisoner number 431-39 and transport number 95. Government Gazette states that had absconded from Mr James Montgomery, Port Phillip since December 1839.
