Apprehension or three Robbers. —ln consequence of information received by the Head Police-office, of intended attack by  attack by a gang of robbers the house of Mr. Meade, at Balgaddy, county Dublin, Chief Peace-officer Cooper, had a party police, proceeded thither on Monday night. On their way they were joined by a portion of  the police stationed at Chapelizod. As the party approached the house of Mr. Meade, they observed five of the robbers mounting the yard-wall. Chief-Constable Cooper called them to surrender, when they immediately jumped down, and attempted a retreat. The police, however, came up with them, when the robbers, who were all armed, offered a stout resistance.  After several shots had been fired on both sides, three of the gang were secured; their names are Patrick Hennarty, James White, and John Foley. other two escaped. Arran quay Police Office.— ln late number we mentioned that three persons had been taken into custody for an attack on the house of Mr. Meade, at Balgaddy, in the county Dublin. The police have been since on the alert, and within the last few nights peace officer Campaigne, of this office, succeeded in arresting five others of the same gang, one of whom was severely wounded in the arm. He found on their persons several articles of property, which have been identified as part of the produce of various house robberies in the suburbs and county of Dublin. Some of the plunder appearing to have been taken from the houses of the Rev. Mr. Short, of Dorset street, Mr. Martin, North Circular-road, and Mr. Foote, of Hollypark. One of the men has also been as principal in the robbery of Mr. Justice Moore's house at the Green-lanes, Clontarf. The names of the parties at present in custody are as follow Patrick Hanratty, James White, John Foley, Michael Corcoran, Laurence Cavanagh, James Cannon, James Hanly, James Healey, and Catherine Cavanagh.
