This John White b/1809 in Birmingham, England, committed crimes w/Charles Tonks, his brother in law, was sent to Tasmania on the Elphanstine in 1836. He supposedly died in Tasmania, but with there being so many John Whites in Tasmania we are still researching his death. His son John White came to Utah in 1835 and settled there. My name is Allen White and my email address alwh1te@earthlink.net. Any correspondence about John White would be appreciated.

CONTRIBUTION FROM ALLEN WHITE: John was my g g grandfather and I have much of his information and information about his descendants who came to the United States in 1853. Allen White, Fremont, California. (Email contact available through Moderator)
