Saville White's occupation was listed as a 'Gardener/Nurseryman'. 1836: TOL, Sutton Forest. By 1838 he was working as a liveryman in Sydney. 14/12/1838 Sydney Monitor: NOTICE. IF WILLIAM BENNISON does not fetch two Pointer Dogs away, and his Box from the Stables of the Rose and Crown Inn, Castlereagh-street, Sydney, and come 'to a settlement, they and contents of Box will be sold in 14 days from this date to defray expenses, and towards the liquidation of a Debt and Costs. SAVILL WHITE*Sydney, December '10, 1838.' 11/1/1839 Sydney Monitor: AN aged HORSE of the following. description, strayed on the premises of the Undersigned, about two o’clock on the morning of Monday last the 7th instant. The owner may have the same on claiming and giving the necessary description and paying all expenses. Description, mouse colour, brand under the saddle DR, short tail, and a sore back from saddle. SAVILLE WHITE, .. Livery Stables, Rose & Crown, "Castlereach Street, Sydney, January 11, 1889. Saville White died on 5/2/1839. 7/2/1839 Sydney Gazette: FATAL ACCIDENT.-On Tuesday last, a man named Saville White met his death under the following circumstances: White rented the stables attached to Sandwell's, in Castlereagh-street, and followed the business of a livery stablekeeper. On Tuesday last he took an entire horse over to the stable of a man named Duff, in Phillip-street, and while there he was kicked in the chest by a mare belonging to Duff. The blow was so violent as to kill him on the spot. The body now lies at the stables awaiting an inquest. No marriage listed on the NSW BDM (also his death is not listed).
