ADM 101/27/41828-1829 Medical journal of theĀ Ferguson, convict ship, for 23 September 1828 to 8 April 1829 by Charles Cameron, surgeon and superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed in carrying convicts to New South Wales. Folios 26-41: John Whitney, aged 47, prisoner; taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, s. [scorbutus] ulcer, has been a sailor and states he got wounded with a musket ball at Flushing which occasioned an extensive scar over tibia of the left leg, extending nearly the length of the bone; put on sick list 24 January 1829, date of discharged unknown.
