Benjamin was born in St. Pancras. His crime was breaking into a workshop and stealing a pocket book. Hulk report: Very Bad. He was punished on board the hulk for swearing. Benjamin was 5'5" tall, grey eyes, dark brown hair, single, Protestant, a labourer and cotton spinner, reads, writes a little, long nose. Tattoos: Sun inside right arm. M.J.W. H.W. Crucifix, W.B. (A) Woman of left arm. 31/12/1835: Public Works. 3/1/1840: TOL 1841: COF 15/12/1846: Seaman, Maguasha - Hobart Town-South Seas on a whaling voyage. 29/4/1850: Seaman,Nautilus - Launceston-Sydney. 24/4/1851: " " " 7/2/1852: Seaman,Mercury - Launceston-Norfolk Island. 25/4/1852: Seaman,Mercury - Launceston-Melbourne. 7/3/1883: The Argus, Melbourne - Yarrawonga News: A man named Benjamin Wilby was found dead in the bush on Sunday morning. An inquiry was held before Mr. W.B. Cairnes, JP., at which it was found that death had resulted from natural causes.
