He was tried for stealing clothes at Lancastershire Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict with his family on 2 6 1797 after a voyage of 10months on GANGES. He was an emancipist when he died on 8 7 1818 age55 & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta.
