THOMAS WILKINSON, Theft > simple larceny, 9th December 1830. 221. THOMAS WILKINSON was indicted for stealing, on the 4th of December , 1 coat, value 4s.; 2 gowns, value 6s.; 1 ribbon, value 6d.; 1 petticoat, value 1s.; 1 pair of stockings, value 1s.; 1 south-wester, value 1s., and 1 cap, value 1s. , the goods of William Henry Priestley . WILLIAM HENRY PRIESTLEY . I have a barge , which I left safe at Limehouse , between seven and twelve o'clock on the 4th of December; I was away from it for five hours - when I returned the cabin had been broken open, and the articles stated were gone; I know the prisoner - he works on the water. JACOB MARKS . I keep a shop at No. 10, Pearson-place, Brick-lane. Last Saturday evening week the prisoner came and asked me to buy a coat; I gave him 2s. 6d. for it - he refused it at first, but came back and took it - I gave the coat to the officer. GEORGE BLAKE . I am an officer. I received this coat from Marks. SAMUEL KING . I was coming home last Sunday morning week, and found a number of things in Limehouse-fields - they had been torn to pieces and thrown away; these are them. Prisoner's Defence. Two boys met me, and asked me to sell the coat. I did not break the cabin. GUILTY . Aged 17. - Transported for Seven Years .
