At Brecon Assizes, there were 20 prisoners for trial, of  whom … — Wilkinson, for burglary at Morganog Wood, (in company with G. Sanson, admitted King's evidence,) transported  for seven years. Hereford Journal, 23 April 1817. Hulk Record HO-9-4 (2. p 23.) Justitia at Woolwich. Received 5th July 1817. Willm. Wilkinson, aged 20, Burglary, Tried Brecon G Sess, 8 Apr 1817, 7 years, Transported 3 Oct 1817.

William Wilkinson was born Thomas Bowman, but adopted the Wilkinson name sometime prior to his enlistment as a soldier.
