Digitised Index of Admiral Barrington. Richard Speak, Edward Davis, Robert Fardoe alias Farmer, John Bragger, alias Thomas Williams, and Samuel Willets tried at Shrewsbury, county of Salop, 21 Mar 1789, 7 years. At Shrewsbury assize, which ended on Wednesday night, Edward Davies, aged 17, Richard Speak, Ann Hudson, David Owen, Charles Lester, and Samuel Nightingale were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death; the five latter were reprieved, and Davies left for execution. John Bragger, Robert Pardee, James Clarke, John Griffiths, and Sam. Willets are to be transported for 7 years. Aris’s Birmingham Gazette, 30 March 1789.
