He was tried w/many others for possession of forged note at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to 14years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1819 after a voyage of 7months on BARING. He had been issued his Ticket of Leave when he Harriet (Scott), as (Alford), her second marriage on 19 11 1826 at St Peters CofE Campbelltown. He was recorded in 1827 as a District Constable. He was recorded in 1828 with Ticket of Leave as constable at Birling Cooke with his family. He was recorded in 1829 & 1830 as a Constable. He was a jeweller when his Certificate of Freedom no.32/938 was issued on 15 10 1832. [Some details taken from this Website] Harriet (Scott) was born in 1807. She had a first relationship with John (Blaxland) & produced 1child. She was recorded in 1828 at Birling Cooke with her family. She produced 10children in her lifetime. To which indictments they severally pleaded GUILTY. Transported for Fourteen Years . Second Middlesex Jury, before Mr. Common Sergeant.
