Stafford Assizes. At Stafford Assizes the following prisoners received sentence death, viz.: ... Jos. Waldron, Wm. Foxall, William Bromwich, for stealing cattle ; ... —The whole of these criminals, with the exception of Hill, were reprieved. Worcester Journal, 3 Aug 1820. The following fifteen convicts under sentence of transportation, have been removed from our county gaol, for the Hulks, at Woolwich, viz.—Enoch Foster, Joseph Waldron, John Faircloth, Samuel Harrison, William Nicholls, George Rogers, Francis Adams, Wm. Foxall, William Bromwich, Richard Thomas, Benjamin Ruscoe, John Wilson, Christopher Gianerd, Ralph Brown, and John Holland. Staffordshire Advertiser, 18 Nov 1820
24/6/1820 Staffordshire Advertiser Staffordshire, England Oxford Curcuit. William Foxall, for stealing three cows, the property of Samuel Thurstans, of Pattingham and William Bromwich for receivig the same, knowing them to have been stolen - the said William Foxall is also charged with stealing two other cows, the property of John Walford, of Pattingham and the said William Bromwich for receiving the same, knowing them also to have been stolen. William Bromwich was also onboard the Lady Ridley. William Foxall was listed as 30 years old on arrival in VDL - native place: Wolverhampton. Wife and 3 children at Paddington near Wolverhampton with his father. William was 5'7" tall, light brown hair, dark grey eyes 11/5/1833: Had TOL 21/8/1834: CP 27/9/1841: Free Pardon. 28/11/1839: Permission to marry Sarah Ford (Platina) No Registration found. 17/1/1840: Permission to marry Sarah Ford (Platina) - no registration found. Officials were waiting for evidence that Williams's wife had died and that he was a widower. Sarah Ford married Thomas Smith (William Bentinck) 5/4/1842. 9/5/1846; Steerage passenger per 'David' Hobart to Port Phillip. (William Foxall who arrived on the 'William Miles 1828' having already died.)
