Info Tasmanian Library site, show death cert of William Guy, Franklin, 56, labour, birth around 1827 when transported. Also could be in 1857 census for Irish Town, Parish of Kingborough N04 as owning a wooden house, 10 occupants. A marriage in 1883, Franklin when Guy 55. The Hampshire Advertiser 17-1-1846 William Guy was charged with having on the 24th Dec. at Smoky Hole, in the parish of Newchurch, stolen two sovereigns & a half crown, the property of his grandmother, Prisoner was found guilty, a former conviction having been put in, he was sentenced to 7 years transportation.
