WILLIAM HENRY was indicted for stealing, on the 15th of August , a shawl, value 2s. 6d. a counterpane, value 4s. 6d. a hat, value 7s. and a frock, value 1s. the property of James Stevens . CHARLOTTE STEVENS . I lost these things between five and six weeks ago. I keep a slop shop. about half past nine in the evening of the day in the indictment, the prisoner came into my shop, and offered me the property in question for sale; I suspected he had not come honestly by it, and I sent for an officer.
