William Hutchinson was convicted at CCC, London on 19 Oct 1840 for stealing money from a till. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the ship 'Mandarin' arriving 16 Oct 1843. Single; aged 18yrs; shoemaker. Native place; London. 1 month in Prison Barracks for insolence and 2 months for disorderly conduct.
