John Isaacson, William Gilbert, and William Reeve, for stealing an iron chest, a wooden box, a surplice and a silk hood, out of the church at Wicken; Cambridge Chronicle, 19 July 1822. Monday last, eleven convicts for transportation were removed from the castle, in order to be conveyed on board the hulks Portsmouth harbour, viz. John Isaacson, William Gilbert, William Reeve. Edward Smith, Wm. Hanscombe, Jonathan Reeder, William Collis, and John Whitby, for life; James Fordham, for fourteen years; James Peachey and Robert Smart, for seven years. Cambridge Chronicle, 23 Aug 1822.
William Reeve was convicted at Cambridge 20 July 1822 for sacrilege - breaking into a church. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Albion' 1823. 15 Nov 1826: Suspected of being involved in a burglary in his Master's house. Sent to Prison Barracks. Died. Memo 1835.
