Committed to our County Gaol, William Shaw, late of Cold Hatton, labourer, for breaking into the Dwelling House of John Fleming, of Cold Hatton, labourer, and stealing a pair of leggings, &c. Shrewsbury Chronicle, 14 Feb 1823.  WILLIAM SHAW, was charged with stealing bread and cheese, and a pair of leggings from the house of John Fleming. GUILTY —DEATH;  Shrewsbury Chronicle, 28 March 1823.
