Convict Notes




Hannah and Michael Murphy were in the first settlement that went to northern Tasmania. They married in Georgetown in 1810. They had five daughters, Ellenor, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane and Maria and one son Michael between 1803 and 1814. Their first four daughters were baptised on the same day as their marriage. Michael Murphy returned to Sydney, after the birth of Michael. Hannah then had another son and daughter with Timothy Daly.




Married Tancer Michael Murphy, in 1811, in Launceston, Tasmania. Michael Murphy was a private won the Sirius, part of the First Fleet.
Death & Burial was in Woodford, Victoria, not NSW.
