Family connections for Isaac (Williams) are: WILLIAMS Isaac (Williams alias Thomas (Horeditch) William (Allis)) was tried for horse stealing at Stafford Quarter Sessions on 14 3 1787, sentenced to death commuted to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship MATILDA; he arrived on Norfolk Island in August 1791. He associated with Rachel (Hoddy). He was Free by Servitude by 1798. He is recorded in 1802 at Norfolk Island. He is recorded as convict labourer on stores on Norfolk Island in February 1805 & in 1806. He left Norfolk Island with his family to Derwent on 3 9 1808-though not recorded as travelling with his family in Ref:'Forgotte...'. [An Isaac (Williams) is recorded as dying in 1805] [Some details taken from this Website] Racha/el (Hoddy) was born about 1767. She was tried w/1other for theft, on 7 6 (1786?), of cloth coat etc of Nimrod (Blampin) at Old Bailey in April 1787, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 3 6 1790 after a voyage of 12months on Fleet ship LADY JULIANA-a ship with 228females who easily entertained the whole crew & also sailors at Teneriffe stopover; she was sent to Norfilk Island, arriving on 7 8 1790. She was Free by Servitude by 1798. She is recorded as sentence expired off stores on Norfolk Island in February 1805 & in 1806. She left Norfolk Island with 6children as part of the first evacuation (for which volunteers apparantly had been called with appropriate compensation offerred & for which she may have tried to decline as some successful farmers were asked to stay) on CITY OF EDINBURGH on 3 9 1808, arriving on 2-5 10 1808-where she became a successful business woman. She is recorded in Hobart in 1811. She is recorded as off stores at Hobart Town with 4children on 2 10 1818. She died on 4 4 1836 age69. He worked as a sawyer, famer & lived at Hobart, Sorell Plains, High Plains & Ouse. He is recorded in 1821 as an emancipist. He was tried for larceny at Oxford Assizes on 8 7 1807, sentenced to death reprieved to Life & arrived in NSW on 20 12 1808 after a voyage of 5months on ADMIRAL GAMBIER. He was a brickmaker in 1817. He was issued his Conditional Pardon no.855 on 31 1 1818. He travelled with his family on 12 11 1819 to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) to join his wifes sister & family. He was tried, with his wife & her sisters husband for stealing sheep & sentenced to 14years-perhaps served at Macquarie Harbour. He was issued his Ticket of Leave in 1833. He is recorded with drinking problems. In 1803 he was detached to (Johnston)s company as a private. He was moved to (Piper)s company in 1808, to 3company then 6company in 1809. From 24 4 1810 he was transferred to 73rd Regiment. He was apparantly with 46th Regiment & was transferred as a private to 48th Regiment on 25 8 1817 at Sydney & was finally discharged in 1821 with a debility. In the colony, Isaac lived with Rachel Hoddy (Convict, Lady Juliana, 1790). The couple had 8 children, 5 daughters and 3 sons over the period 1792 to 1805. Isaac died in 1805 and fairly soon thereafter, Rachel must have moved to Tasmania. She is recorded in Norfolk Island in 1806 with her children and then in Hobart in 1811. Isaac was recorded in 1802 and 1806 but not 1811.
