Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry. Mary Williams, age on arrival, 28, per Forth II (1830), Tried at Wexford, 1827, 7 years, Robbery house. DOB 1802. Native of Kilkenny. Married. Protestant. Mantua maker all work. Died 1838, at Parramatta Female Factory Hospital. -------------------------------------------------- ADM 101/28/3 Medical and surgical journal of HM convict ship Forth from 27 April to 23 October 1830 by Joseph Cook, surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed in a voyage from Ireland to Port Jackson, New South Wales. Folios 7-8: Mary Williams, aged 31, convict, case number 3; disease or hurt, syphillus (suffered with venereal disease last three years). Put on sick list, 5 June 1830 at sea. Discharged 19 June 1830 convalescent. Folios 32-33: Surgeon’s general remarks. In the last week of May 1830 the following persons were embarked on board the Forth at Cove from the penitentiary in Cork, for passage to New South Wales; 120 female convicts, 10 children (belonging to convicts), 8 free women (and 19 children belonging to the free women). --------------------------------------------------- Convict Index, 1791-1873.
