Stafford Assizes.  John Salt (aged 16) Thomas Williams (aged 20) and Thomas Edwards (aged 15) for house-breaking and stealing wearing apparel at Landon  Aris’s Birmingham Gazette, 3 Aug 1818. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The following named twenty Convicts under sentence of transportation, have been removed from our county gaol, and safely put on board the Hulks on board the Hulks, ten at Sheerness and 10 at Woolwich, viz., George Richards,Robert Holmes , John Sutton, John Askey, John Salt, Thomas Williams, Thomas Edwards, Peter Morgan, John Gallimore, Thomas Morris. John Trowell, , George Jones, John Williams , Joseph Thompson, John Horne, John Houghton, William Cooper, William Brister, James Merriot and John Hodgkiss. Hoilglliss Staffordshire Advertiser, 21 Nov 1818.

*** 2 Thomas Williams on this voyage ** The other Thomas Williams was tried at Monmouthshire 10/8/1818. Thomas Williams (Staffordshire) was listed as 23 years old on arrival (same age as the other Tho. Williams). Native Place: Worcestershire. Thomas was 5'5" tall, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. 21/6/1841: TOL Illawarra. Altered for Berrima Dec. 1842.
