Leicester Journal Leicestershire, England 21 Oct 1831 LEICESTER AND LEICESTERSHIRE Transported for life.___Thomas Williamson, aged 50, charged with stealing a quantity of soap and tobacco, the property of Thomas Nunnely, of the Borough of Leicester. *Ancestry Convict Indents state that Thomas Williamson was transported for 'Prisonbreaking'...no other Thomas Williamson's sentenced to life in the time frame.* Occupation: Gardener/bee keeper. Thomas was listed as 46 years old, he was literate, Protestant, a widower with 1 male child, 5'3¾" tall, fair complexion, light hair, grey and hollow eyes, lost some front teeth. NSW Return of all Male Convicts Assigned and Transferred between 1st and 30th days of September 1832, Inclusively: Williamson Thomas, Clyde, gardener, &c., to Major Innis, Port Macquarie Aug 1841: TOL Port Macquarie 30/6/1847: TOL Passport, on the recommendation of Commissioner Massie.
