Henry appears in the 1828 Census as an addition to the family of Thomas Willis. Thomas was probably his brother. They are shown as 1 family group. Census of New South Wales ..Page 399-400 [Ref W2125] Willis, Thomas, 27, ticket of leave, Isabella, 1818, 7 years, shoemaker, Sydney. [Ref W2126] Willis, Catherine 18, born in the colony. [Ref W2127] Willis, Thomas 10 months, born in the colony. [Ref W2128] Willis, Henry, 25, free by servitude, Atlas 3, 1819, shoemaker, Sydney. ##Note the last entry, Henry, must be Thomas’s brother. He was also convicted at Bristol and was transported in 1820 on “Atlas”, only two years after his brother.
At the General Quarter Sessions for this city, held at the Guildhall Monday and Tuesday last, the following prisoners were tried and received sentence as under: … Henry Willis, for stealing 80 yards of ribband, value 11s, the property of W. Willis and J. Jewry; … seven years Transportation. Bristol Mirror, 16 Jan 1819.
