RICHARDSON and WRENCH have received instructions from the Trustees of the above Estate, to Bell by public auction, at the Rooms, Pitt-street, Sydney, on FRIDAY, 13th March, at 11 o'clock, all their right, title, and interest in and to the following: 1. A MORTGAGE dated 3rd October, 1846, made by Jasper Wilmott and Maria Wilmott (widow of the late Thomas Wilmott) in favour of Charles Throsby, for the sum of £260, on the premises known as the Kentish Arms Inn, together with 20 acres of land, on the main Southern Road, near Berrima. 2. A PROMISSORY NOTE for the sum of £60, dated 21st September, 1846, drawn by Jasper Wilmott in favour of Charles Throsby, secured by tho deposit of title deeds of 240 acres of land at Sutton Forest. Jasper Wilmott (1795-1853) was my 4th Great Grandfather. His son was James Caines-Wilmott (1821-1877) and his son was William Henry Caines (1851-1909)he stayed in England and his son was Alexander Caines (1881-1975) who was my Great Grandfather (who I remember well) who also stayed in England.

He was the brother of Thomas Wilmott (Gen Stewart) Baptised along with all his siblings @ St Marys church Bitton Gls. Sentenced @ Somerset assizes 28/3/1818. They both did well for themselves and became pillars of Society. He was the Father of James Caines Wilmott (another transportee) and common law husband of Lydia Caines.
