Convict Notes
Anne Wilson, a 25 year old housemaid, was a convict who was tried in Stafford assizes 30 Jun 1833 for stealing 8 half crowns. Sentenced to seven years transportation. came to Van Diemen's Land on the convict ship "Jane" in 21 January, 1833. She married Joseph Lockett that same year and sadly died in 1835. I cannot find any children, maybe she died in childbirth along with the baby? She was only young.
