ASSIZE INTELLIGENCE On Monday the business of Essex Assizes commenced at Chelmsford, ... The following prisoners were capitally convicted: — Edw. Wright, James Wright, James Hills, and Charles Wilson, for divers highway robberies upon Epping Forest, (to whom the Judge held out not the slightest hope of mercy); Bury and Norwich Post, 4 Aug 1819. ————————————————————————— Edward Wright was the only one executed. At Essex Assizes, Edw. Wright, John Merrington, Jas. Merrington, John Tubbs, and Richard Bayford, were left for execution on Friday the 13th instant Bury and Norwich Post, 11 Aug 1819.
