Michael Docherty, alias Shields, Age: 17, pipeworks worker, Address: Bridgegate Street, Glasgow, Origin: Native of Glasgow Duncan Christie, Age: 17, Address: Paisley, Renfrewshire, Origin: Native of Paisley. Conduct record states 'Theft by housebreaking'. Duncan Christie arrived per 'Marion 1851' WA. Michael Docherty/Shields - no ship found. Elizabeth Wilson was 23 years old on arrival, she was born in Glasgow and transported for 'Stealing clothes'. Previous convictions: Vagrancy, Stealing. Elizabeth was 5'1" tall, brown hair, blue eyes, face pimpled, pockpitted and freckled, can read, unmarried, catholic. 27/6/1854: TOL 24/11/1855: TOL revoked - absent from muster. 5/6/1855: TOL 19/6/1855: Recommended for CP 17/6/1856: CP approved. 1854: Daughter Harriett Bayles born, Robert 1857, Marion Elizabeth. Henry was accidentally killed in 1861 in Bothwell. 11/7/1861: Henry Bales, aged 50, a shepherd, died at Bothwell, Tas., "He was carried by the horse he was riding against a limb of a tree and thereby violently and accidentally thrown to the ground and killed on the spot. 15/10/1863: Married Robert Nattress/Nattross (Moffatt 1834) at Bothwell, he was 48 and a shepherd, Elizabeth Wilson, a widow aged 33 - 1 daughter, Ann Nattrass born 31/12/1864 Bothwell. 23/7/1872: Elizabeth NATTRESS died aged 43, in Hamilton of Cancer, listed as a shepherd's wife. Robert Nattress, died 6/7/1897, aged 96, a laborer of Senilis or Crouch - registered Hobart.
