391 ton Barque. Built Liverpool. The Barque Arabian, under the command of Captain Robertson, left Kingstown, Dublin, 22 November, 1846, with 150 female convicts and 37 children on board. One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Convict Notes
Cork Spring Assizes, 1846. LARCENY. Catherine Daunt and Ellen Wilson, two old and apparently infirm women, having been placed at the bar. The Court stated that they had severally been convicted of larceny on three distinct occasions, and in justice to society, and regard to the poor people upon whom they had been practising their thefts, he should transport them respectively for the period of seven years. The prisoners were then removed one of them continuing to make the most piteous lamentations.
