COULTER.— July 17. at his residence, Miller's Point, North Shore, Samuel Coulter, native of Kent, England, aged 76 years. Evening News, 19 July 1877. THE FRIENDS of Mr. JOSEPH STEVENS are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of his deceased FATHER-IN-LAW, Samuel Coulter ; to move from his late residence, Milson's Point, North Shore, THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON, at quarter before 3 o'clock. JOHN J. HIGLEY, Undertaker North Shore. Sydney Morning Herald, 19 July 1877. THE FRIENDS of the late RACHEL COULTER are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral ; procession will move from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Stevens, Milson's Point-road, St. Leonards, THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON, at quarter-past 2 o'clock, for St. Thomas's Cemetery. NSW Marriage Reg: 512/1841. Samuel Coulter and Rachel Wilson, MK district. (Church of England, Brisbane Water) NSW Birth Regs. Number of births registered to Samuel and Rachel Coulter: Edwin, 1842, (registered at Brisbane Waters); Mary A, 1844; Samuel, 1846; Charles H, 1849; Rachel, 1852; Sarah A., 1854. The other children all registered at Church of England, Gosford; Kincumber.




High Court of Justiciary. Catherine Ross, Helen McNeil, and Rachel Wilson, pleaded Not Guilty to a charge of assault on the person of an individual, in a house in the Grassmarket, whom they robbed of 30s. on the 10th July last. They were found Guilty, and sentenced to fourteen years' transportation Caledonian Mercury, 10 Nov 1838.




Convicted at Glasgow, 7 November 1838. Received Ticket of Leave. Listed as a Needlewoman who stole material. Application to marry convict Samuel Coulter, granted 1841. Buried 12 August 1886 at St.Thomas Cemetery, Crows Nest. Now Rest Park.
