(The ship also made voyages to Australia, in 1837, 1839 & 1845 with free immigrants.)

Thomas WILSON was convicted at York, England on 1 Aug 1829 for housebreaking. Life sentence. Had previously been imprisoned in England for 12 mths for Bigamy. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Bussorah Merchant' arriving Jan 1830. Married man - wife Annie at native place, Leeds. Two children. Colony of VDL: 1833: at Launceston 1837: at Bothwell Ticket of Leave granted in 1838. Conditional Pardon approved 1845/46. 1848: at Bothwell.
