Thomas WILSON was convicted at Hereford Q.S. on 27 June 1842 for housebreaking, caught in the act. Gaol Report: "of idle habits". 15 yr transportation sentence. Hulk Report: "bad". Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Henrietta' arriving 19 Nov 1843. Ship surgeon's report: "good". Single man; aged 19yrs; labourer; 5'3"; sallow complexion; dk brown hair; Hazel eyes; Protestant; can read; tattoos. Native Place of birth: Manchester, England. Brother - James, at London. Colony of VDL: 20 months Probation Period. 1849: assigned to J.R. Bateman of Launceston. 13 Aug 1850: Ticket of Leave granted. 11 March 1851: Ticket of Leave revoked - absent from Muster. 13 May 1851: Ticket of Leave restored. 14 Dec 1852: Conditional Pardon approved.
