N.B. There are two persons named "Thomas Wilson" on this sailing of the 'Commodore Hayes' 1822. Thomas WILSON (Identifier 2) was convicted at Middlesex on 22 May 1822 for pick pocketing. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Commodore Hayes' 1822. Had previously been confined for 12 mths in England. Last lived with mother, in Barbican. Colony of VDL: 1824: Absent from Master's service. Reprimanded. 21 March 1826: at Mr. Gellibrand's - neglect of duty and assault. 25 lashes. DEATH: 20 March 1831 - drowned.
