At Richmond, James Winch, per Aurora, F.S., Offence-larceny, Sentence-3 months, native place-England, trade-labourer, age 53 years, 5 feet 2 inches high. Prior conviction: July 1870. Tasmania Police Gazette, 30th June 1871, p106. Prisoner discharged from H M Gaols, Hobart & Launceston, week ending 20 Sept 1871 and 16 Sept 1871. James Winch, per Aurora, F.S., tried at Jerusalem, on 17 June 1871, for larceny, received 3 months, native place is Chesham, Bucks, age 53 yrs, 5 feet high, dark brown hair, mole on right cheek. Tasmania Police Gazette, 22nd Sept 1871, p153. Prisoner discharged from H M Gaols, Hobart & Launceston, week ending 30 Mar 1872 & 3 Apr 1872. James Winch, per Aurora, F.S., tried at Kempton, on 30 Dec 1871, for being found in a dwelling house for unlawful purpose, received 3 months, native place is Chesham, Bucks, age 54 yrs, 5 feet high, dark brown hair, mole on right cheek.
