Tasmania Police Gazette, 30th June 1871, p106. Prisoner discharged from H M Gaols, Hobart & Launceston, week ending 20 Sept 1871 and 16 Sept 1871. James Winch, per Aurora, F.S., tried at Jerusalem, on 17 June 1871, for larceny, received 3 months, native place is Chesham, Bucks, age 53 yrs, 5 feet high, dark brown hair, mole on right cheek.
