Wednesday last John Winder was committed our gaol, the Rev. Dr. Frampton, charged with breaking open the shop of Mr. George Rowning, Newmarket, and stealing thereout a silver watch, the property of Mr. Lancaster, of Brandon. Bury and Norwich Post, 8 July 1789. John Winder, for stealing a silver watch out of the shop of Mr. George Rowning, of Newmarket, was sentenced to be transported for 7 years.
