Per "Lord Sidmouth", 1819 1819 Mar 18 On list of convicts disembarked from the "Lord Sidmouth" & forwarded to Parramatta for distribution; listed as Winduss (Reel 6006; 4/3500 p.40) 1820 Jun 3 On list of prisoners transported to Newcastle per "Lady Nelson"; listed as Windus (Reel 6007; 4/3502 p.55) 1824 Dec 31 Runaway from Newcastle; sentenced to work in mines at Newcastle for three years. On return of fines & punishments in the Police Office (Reel 6023; 4/6671 p.105) 1825 Feb 14 Re robbery (Reel 6014; 4/3513 p.427)
At the Gloucestershire Quarter Sessions. ….Richard Winders for stealing turkey, the property of T. P, Peterson, esq; of Maugersbury; ... , were sentenced to seven years’ transportation. [Of the above offenders, …. are only ? years old each, and Winders not more than 17 . the latter, though young in years, old in iniquity, and has before been confined in Gloucester prison for felony, on receiving sentence had the audacity to address the Chairman in these words , I wish thou mightst be sitting there till I come back, and then I'll be with thee again’] Bath Chronicle, 29 Jan 1818
