Born in 1799 & baptised 12 May 1799 at St George's Church, Beckington. Married 19 July 1818 to Charlotte Angel. They had 8 children, including Daniel b.1822, who was also transported. Charlotte died 3 Feb 1853 in Church Street, Beckington.

also convicted of stealing 4 fowl in 27th March 1821 sentanced to 9mths hard labour in Shepton Mallet. Left behind his wife Charlotte Susan Angel from Colchester Essex and 7 children. Daniel (son) also being deported for highway robbery.
William Wingrove transported for sheep stealing. Convicted 21st October 1839 Wells, Somerset County Sessions. I believe he was the father of Daniel Wingrove who was transported onboard on the vessel Sir George Seymour and the voyage is dated as 5th November 1844 on his Transportation Record. Daniel Wingrove was convicted of assaulting John Harford on the highway and stealing his watch on the evening of 25th September 1842. Daniels accomplice Samuel Harrison was also transported, onboard the Barossa in 1844.
On 2nd December 1839 William Wingrove b 1799 arrives at a Prison Hulk the 'York' moored in Gosport. He was convicted of 'stealing a lamb.' William is entered on these records as prisoner no. 8895.
