Silas Wise was 26 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for 'Stealing Wheat'. Silas was 5’4” tall, brown hair, grey eyes, florid complexion, single. 19/2/1853: Married at Brighton, Mary Ann Brown (America 1830) he was 40 and she was 43. 5/4/1853: Free Certificate 20/4/1853: Departed Launceston to Melbourne per ‘Yarra Yarra’ – Free by Servitude. 3/12/1853 at Heathcote, Victoria – Both Silas and Mary Ann died from injuries caused by the upsetting of a cart.
