Significant because it was the first ship to bring all female women to the Colony.

Family connections for Elizabeth (Wishaw) are: WISHAW Elizabeth (Wishaw/Whishaw) was tried for stealing a cotton gown, on 4 8 1788, of Michael M'Guire at Old Bailey on 10 9 1788, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 3 6 1790 after a voyage of 12months on Fleet ship LADY JULIANA-a ship with 228females who easily entertained the whole crew & also sailors at Teneriffe stopover; & was sent to Norfolk Island arriving on 7 8 1790. She lived with James (Shears/Sheers/Shiers his second (2of3?) relationship) after 1791 (married on Norfolk Island) & produced 3children. She became Free by Servitude about 1792.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] James (Shears/Sheers/Shiers) was born about 1735or47 & became a butcher. He was tried for highway robbery on 2 7 1784 & assaulting Charles (Wright) by First Middlesex Jury at Old Bailey on 7 7 1784, sentenced to death by hanging at Tyburn, held probably at London/Middlesex Gaol Delivery & at Newgate prison until sentence remitted to Life in Africa on 19 3 1785, transferred to hulk CERES at Woolwich London on 5 4 1786 & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 1 1788 after being on board for 12months on First Fleet ship SCARBOROUGH. He married firstly (1of3?) Mary (Smith) at St Phillips CofE Port Jackson Sydney Cove on 20/1 2 1788. He arrived on Norfolk Island with his wife on HMS SIRIUS on 13 3 1790. He became a butcher for the Government. He separated from Mary (Smith) before 1791. He is recorded in July 1791 as supporting Elizabeth (Wishaw) & Mary (Tuck also from LADY JULIANA & future wife of John (Cropper ALEXANDER 1788)). He became Free by Servitude about 1792. He was issued his Conditional Pardon (sentence expired) on 23 3 1796, was off stores & had 60acres (lot12 near Phillipsburg eastern side of the island), which he sold on 14 1 1800 to Thomas (Fowles); an Absolute Pardon came later. His sentence expired in 1805 & he was recorded as butcher off stores. He is recorded with the clean-up party of Norfolk Island from 1813-14 after the final evacuation (as is Mary (Wilson). He left NI on 14 2 1814 to Port Jackson with wife Mary (Wishaw or Wilson) indicating 3wives in his lifetime. He died in 1838 age91 (103 according to Ref:'Forgotten...') father of 5children at the home of Capt (Piper) at Bathurst. [Some details taken from this Website] .. Text type Trial account Defendants ELIZABETH WHISHAW Offences Theft > Grand larceny Session Date 10th September 1788 Reference Number t17880910-101 Verdicts Guilty Punishments Transportation 560. ELIZABETH WHISHAW was indicted for stealing, on the 4th of August last, one cotton gown, value 10 s. a shift, value 3 s. a shirt, value 3 s. an apron, value 10 s. an handkerchief, value 6 d. and a bonnet, value 6 d. the property of Michael M'Guire . The prisoner slept in the next room to the prosecutor and his wife, and went off on Saturday night, the 4th of August, with the things mentioned in the indictment; she was taken the next morning with the body of the gown upon her back without the skirt.
