Tried: 22 Feb 1825 1825 Prison Hulk ship Retribution, aged 18, Est. birth year: abt 1807, Crime: Desertion, Tried Royal Marine Barracks Chatham, Received 4 April 1825, sent to NSW 21 July 1825 Died on Voyage 12 October 1825 at 5am Possibly died of scurvy as there were many "scorbutic patients" near the end of the journey, resulting in 4 deaths Journal "This man whom we considered as gradually convalescing from a very protracted Fever of the [?] kind was yesterday attacked unexpectedly with very alarming symptoms which continuing to increase until this morning nature being entirely exhausted Expired - 12th Oct. Following is an abstract of the case............." He was sick from 11th September 1825, improved a few times
