Court and date of trial: Court Martial, Chatham, September 1835. Crime: Desertion, drawing sword on superior officer and theft of a pair of stockings and a shirt. Initial sentence: Seven years transportation. Annotated (Outcome): Nil. Petitioner(s): John Wixon of Greenhithe, seaman, the prisoner's father, undersigned by two officers of Royal Marines, testifying to the prisoner's good conduct.
