7/9/1827 Chester Chronicle Cheshire, England: Assize Intelligence Richard Wood, 33, charged with stealing on the highway, in the township of Bramall, on the 28th of June, a silver watch, chain, and seal, from J. Young.__Transported for life. Medical Journal of the William Miles: Folio 6: Richard Wood, aged 32, convict; disease or hurt, dysenteria. Put on sick list, 21 July 1828. Discharged 4 August 1828 cured. Richard Wood was listed as 32 years old on arrival. Native Place:Gatley, Cheshire. Occupation: Farm Labourer/Soldier. Goal Report: A very dangerous character. Hulk Report: Disorderly. Richard was 5'3½" tall, brown hair, light grey eyes, scar on top of forehead, scar on left side of nose, mark of cupping glasses under breast, mark of a bite on left arm, scar on top of right knee. Married - wife in London. Father and mother: Dead.
