Supreme Court, Launceston- Prisoner convicted at court on the 28th Mar 1871. George Cornelius Woods, alias Smith, transported as George Woods, per Ratcliffe 2, F.S., Offence-Larceny as a bailee, Sentence-12 months. Tasmania Police Gazette, 7th Apr 1871, p62. Discharged prisoner from Gaol, during the weeks ending 6 & 10 April 1872. At Launceston, George Cornelius Woods, per Ratcliffe 2, F.S., tried at S,C, Launceston on 28 Mar 1871 for larceny as a bailee, served 12 months, native of Lincolnshire, 51 yrs, 5 feet 4 1/2 inches, grey hair, Anchor on back of right hand, B on back of Left hand. Tasmania Police Gazette, 12th Apr 1872, p63.
