Committed to Fisherton Gaol: Job Neale, of Upton Lovell, charged with having, on the 2d inst, in company with one Thomas Woods, at the place aforesaid, assaulted and robbed William Butcher, a coal carrier, of Warminster Common, of his purse containing a sovereign and half, in gold, and nine shillings and sixpence in silver. Salisbury Journal, 21 Jan 1833. Salisbury. The following convicts, (who had sentence of death against them at our last assizes) were removed from Fisherton Gaol, on Thursday last and put on board the York, the general receiving convict hulk at Gosport: viz. Thomas Woods, Robert Eacott, Wm. Blake, Wm. Holly, Wm. Prince, Daniel Hinton and Joseph Derrett, for life, George Doel, Henry Cox, Edward Cox and William Rous, for seven years each. Salisbury Journal, 20 May 1833 Prison Hulk York, Record, HO9-9-5 p31 Received from Fisherton Gaol, 16 May 1833. Thos Woods, age 25 Robbery, convicted at New Sarum, 2 March 1833, sentence, Life.
