The prisoners were tried and convicted, viz. ... James Woodwards, for stealing a cheese from the shop of Mr. Sheen, grocer, to be transported for 7 years; Oxford Journal, 1 May 1824. . On Tuesday last John Holloway and John Woodwards were removed from our city gaol, to the Justicia hulk at Woolwich, pursuant to their respective sentences of transportation at our last city sessions; Holloway for life, and Woodwards for seven years.
