The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... The following convicts were sent off from Aylesbury gaol, on Monday , to be conveyed on board the Leviathan hulk, Portsmouth, for Life. —John Herridge, for horse-stealing; Geo. Fook and Henry Higgins, for house-breaking; and Wm. Worker, for sheep-stealing. For Fourteen Years.—Thos. Mortimer and William Turvey, for stealing a donkey. For Seven Years. —Wm. Paine, for stealing from the person, Thomas Cooper, for stealing butter;  Matthew Goodson, for house-breaking; Wm. Age; 23 [1813] Year of arrival; 1830; Royal Admiral Height; 5 ft. 8 in. Complexions; Sallow, Black Hair and Black Eyes. Small scar over left eye. Date; 8 Jun 1836. Birthplace Buckingham Shire. Protestant. Trade; Labourer. EXECUTED; 10 Aug 1836. 1836 -The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser. Thu 11 Aug 1836. Page 4. SUPREME COURT. SUPREME COURT. SATURDAY, AUGUST 6. Before Mr. Justice Burton and a Civil Jury- William Walker stood indicted for the wilful murder of Thomas Woods, by shooting him with a pistol, on the 22d May last, in the district of Cassilis and John Gore stood likewise indicted for aiding and abetting in the commission of the said murder................
