Government Gazette Notices Principal Superintendent of Convicts' Office, April 7, 1835. THE undermentioned Prisoners having absconded from the individuals and employments set against their respective names, Workman, Thomas, Lord Melville, 30-1741, 21, Bir- mingham, jeweller's apprentice, 5 feet 7 inches, ruddy and freckled comp. brown hair, brown eves, scar inside part of left eye, and various marks inside right arm, T W W W on left arm, from H. Donnison, Brisbane Water, since March 1.
Thomas William Workman married Port Macquarie, NSW, 29 June 1848 Catherine Sherrif McGuther ( born 14 April 1830, Glasgow Scotland, died 30 April 1929, age 99, remarried 1855 John Pike. Thomas was known as John Workman, died when a dray fell on him in Oct 1854, while felling trees for a new house, buried on property at Emu Creek, one meter headstone, difficult to read.
